A vitamin-like substance also known as ubiquinone and present naturally in every one of our cells. For the most part, our bodies produce sufficient quantities of Q10 of their own accord. As we age, however, the production rate steadily decreases. Q10 plays an important role in the energy metabolism and respiratory chain of the body’s cells. It activates the energy production of cells while supporting active synthesis and repair mechanisms in the skin. Coenzyme Q10 is also a strong antioxidant and protects the cells against damage caused by free radicals.
