ACTIVE AGENTS LEXICON
Select a active substance from the alphabetical list to find out more:
These are tiny globules consisting of a central lipid nucleus with the active substance, stabilised by a membrane layer of phospolipids and cholesterol. Because of their similarity to natural cell membranes they contribute a micro reservoir which passes on the active substance to the epidermis cells. The active substance imitates the natural lipid structure of the skin, thus restoring the thin lipid coating of the epidermis. The skin is less dry, more elastic and is better able to withstand outside harmful influence.
